Jessica ENNIS-HILL
Heptathlon gold medalist in London in 2012
and the silver medalist in Rio 2016

As an athlete you inevitably face injuries through different phases of your career. Fortunately I had an incredible team of experts who guided me through these difficult times. Rob Johnson was part of that team and helped to develop a detailed and comprehensive rehab program that nursed me back back to full fitness after such injuries. Rob Johnson played a huge part in creating my rehab programme and ensuring it was carried out correctly and tailored and adapted to my individual needs.

Nick MATTHEW
3 times world squash champion
and former world number 1

"Rob was my physio for over 15 years throughout my squash career helping me through many ups & downs along the way. One of the best things about Rob is his ability to take a step back and cleverly look at the underlying causes of injuries & the unique circumstances surrounding them rather than the short term fix of solely treating the problem. We built up a great personal relationship which enabled me to develop complete trust in Rob to successfully manage my body throughout my career."

Dr. Richard HIGGINS
Head of Sports Medicine SWFC and EIS
Sheffield

As a Specialist in Sports Medicine I worked with Rob for over 20 years initially when he was the Head Physiotherapist at Sheffield Wednesday Football club in 1998-2000 and then when he joined me at the English institute of Sport as the Lead Physiotherapist.

The English Institute of Sport was a ground breaking high performance centre in England, catering for Olympic and Elite sport. In the time I worked with Rob as part of the multidisciplinary team he directed the rehabilitation, treatment and general day to day preventative care of many World and Olympic champions across a number of sports. These included three times Squash World Champion Nick Matthew, Olympic and World Champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, England cricket Ashes winning captain Michael Vaughan, as well as many GB diving and winter sports Olympic medalists. Rob also continued to take referrals from myself from the football club. He is one of the most highly experienced, innovative and skilled physiotherapists I have worked with during my career as a Sports Medicine Doctor.

Toni Minichiello
Olympic Athletics Coach
UK Coaching Coach of the Year 2012

Rob worked with me and my athletes in my training group for over 15 years. In that time he worked with World class level athletes and International Medalists, most notably with Olympic Champion Jessica Ennis-Hill and Winter Bobsleigh World Champion Driver Nicola Minichiello. Rob brought a measured and analytical approach to solving sometimes very complex career threatening injuries. The results saved athletes from an early exit from the sport and without his help and dedication they would not have gone on to achieve success. Rob's professional and supportive manner makes him great to work with and is highly respected by coaches and athletes alike. In high performance you need the best and Rob is one of the best.
